Captain Robot
Captain Future is a character invented by science fiction writer Edmond Hamilton. Captain Future became popular during the 1940s when the stories about the character appeared in pulp magazines and later got his own magazine and finally won cult status after the anime series was produced in the late 1970s.
Captain Future real name is Curtis Newton. His parents, Roger and Elaine, were the scientists who left Earth in 1990 to work in a secret laboratory in the moon. When his old friend and fellow researcher Simon Wright finally died, his brain was transplanted health by Roger on artificial floating case. Together, then build a robot and an android named Grag and Otho (who may have inspired George Lucas when he created C3PO and R2D2, and who are serving the same role).
One day, evil scientist named Victor Kasl secret laboratory detected on the moon and killed Roger and Elaine. His son Curtis was alone in the moonlight and was raised by Otto, Grag, and Simon Wright. Curtis became a brilliant scientist with a strong sense of responsibility he now wants to help people and to protect the villains. As he is a very shy person who decides to work under the alias "Captain Future".
Ull archenemy Captain Future is Quorn, son of Victor Kasl (the man who murdered the parents of Porvenir).
The famous Japanese anime series came in 1978, a year after the death of Edmond Hamilton. The 52 episodes adoptions are considered excellent literary work of Hamilton and the series became a huge hit in Japan, Europe (Germany, France, Italy, …) and Latin America, but only 8 episodes were translated into English and therefore the animated series Captain future remained relatively unknown in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
The German version uses a completely new soundtrack created by composer Christian Bruhn, is considered worship in Germany and other countries and is still used on television many times, even today.
