The loss of a death are facts of life. Protected or sheltered from these experiences is not necessarily a good thing, as the disappointments, pain and emotional distress are part of the emotional range needed in human life.
Children may experience pain and loss early in life, a broken toy significant, loss of a family pet. The death of elderly grandparents may seem a bit abstract for young children, but children are resilient and can learn to cope, according to their spiritual beliefs, the closeness of family and how parents and adults around to handle the situation and communicate with them. Several stages have been identified in the pain and the transition process of loss. Understand and work through all these stages can help in recovery and to achieve a better quality of life. We may never know the answer the "why me?" the question, but we can go ahead and restore a new quality of expected life quieter.
