How Long does it take for Deluxe DVDs to come out? How long does it useally take for a deluxe dvd to come out? I know that the movie comes out before, and then the deluxe is released afterwards, and I was just wondering the time frame! Thanks! Hey, I'm an avid movie collector and have tons of DVDs. I usually wait for deluxe editions to come out before I buy them, but only for the good ones. Usually, the DVD version of a movie that just ended in the cinemas comes out 4 or 5 months later. Sometimes it's longer. WIth deluxe editions, there are three options. Sometimes, the DVDs automatically come out as deluxe editions in the 4-5 month span after the movie's showing in the cinema. If there is no deluxe edition, that means that the movie company is either still compiling special features, etc. to make the deluxe edition, which should be released approximately 2 months later from my experience. Thirdly, if you still can't find the deluxe edition after half a year or more, then there might not be one. However, deluxe editions sometimes, but very rarely, come out years after a movie comes out on DVD. You never know. Good luck!
