Samsung S8500 Wave Review Release Date And Specifications
When it comes to new cell phone releases nowadays, you may need to delve a little deeper into the finer detail and subtle changes otherwise on a cell phone's surface it may not look like much has changed at all. So unless you're the type of person that pays attention to detail or is a gadget geek, much the same can be said about the Samsung S8500 Wave.
Looking at general specifications alone, don't expect any groundbreaking innovative and technological additions, however there is one new attribute that you may get very excited about (finally). Perhaps the pinnacle feature of the Samsung S8500 Wave will be the unveiling of Bada. What is Bada you say? Bada is derived from the Korean word 'Ocean' and is Samsungs' latest operating system phrase for mobile smartphones.
Announced in November 2009, the new Samsung S8500 Wave will be the first mobile phone equipped with the BADA O.S. Aimed at challenging Google's 'Android' O.S., Bada is earmarked at offering a rich user experience on an equally impressive user interface that will run high performance native apps and services while boasting an open platform environment.
If news of the Bada O.S. isn't enough, then how about the 480 x 800 pixel AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which is finger print resistant and capable of multi-touch and pinch zooming gestures. Complimenting the 3.3 inch display is a 5 megapixel camera with every feature that you've become accustomed to from Samsung. On top of this is 720p video capture; Bluetooth 3.0 (Yes! Bluetooth 3.0); and a 1GHz CPU for faster processing power and much more.
Providing Samsung doesn't rush the S8500 Wave (as they did the Omnia HD) in a bid to get it right without the requirement of future firmware upgrades, I truly think they could be on a winner. On that note, expect to see the Samsung S8500 Wave springing up all over the place in 2010!
